Submit Debug Files

To help us investigate an issue, we may ask you to send us game log and system config files from your PC.


Game log file

1. From the Steam client, right-click Outscape Alpha in your library and select properties.

2. In the popup, click the BROWSE LOCAL FILES... option.

3. The file browser that should then open will contain a directory and .exe file as shown below. Navigate to the Outscape_Data directory.

4. The contents of the Outscape_Data directory should look similar to the below image. The log file that we need to see is output_log.txt. If the size of the file is too large, please see below.

Wiping the game log file

If the size of the output_log.txt file is too large to send, its contents can be wiped before relaunching the game and then triggering the issue again.

With the game not running, open the output_log.txt file, delete its contents and then close the file. After relaunching the game, the original issue needs to be triggered so that the related details are captured in the output_log.txt file. Once this has happened, the file should be small enough to then send to us.


System config files

These files are generated automatically and will contain useful information about your operating system and hardware configuration.

Windows PC

DxDiag File

1. Press the Windows Key and the R Key (Win + R) at the same time.

2. Type dxdiag in to the Run box that will appear and click OK

3. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool should now open. Click the Save All Information button. Choose to save the file as a text file to an easy to find location such as the Desktop.

MSinfo File

1. Press the Windows Key and the R Key (Win + R) at the same time.

2. Type msinfo32 in to the Run box that will appear and click OK.

3. The System Information application should now open. Click the File button and select Save. Choose to save the file as a .nfo file to an easy to find location such as the Desktop.

Please respond to our request for the above debug information and attach the 2 files that the above steps should have generated.
